Merseyside has so many great places to eat, it’s easy to see why one or two stay under the radar.
And this one is a delight.
It may boast an impressive 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor, with 478 people deeming it “excellent”, but not many people seem to know about Thai Rice on Bold Street in Southport.
But it’s so good.
Many of this Thai restaurant’s Tripadvisor reviews refer to it as a “hidden gem”.

Its most recent reviews say there is “always good quality, great tasting food” and “everything was perfect”.
The second goes on to say “We have been to Thai Rice on a number of occasions and it has always been great.
“We decided to go there last night and the meal was excellent as were the staff. We will definitely visit again before too long.”
Other reviews say the food is as good as you would find in Thailand itself, and that it offers “the best” Thai food.
Thai Rice has been on Southport’s Bold Street since 2014. Billed as a “taste of Thailand”, the restaurant’s menu consists of fresh and authentic Thai cuisine.
It also offers a takeaway service and is open seven days a week
The restaurant was established to “introduce a true taste of Thai food in Southport” and for many it doesn’t disappoint.
